Our trip to Pakistan in 2021.
In the beginning of 2021 our hearts were burdened to feed the hungry in Pakistan, but we had no idea how to accomplish it. After we launched a DAILY BREAD Project, we were very encouraged by your incoming donations.
In mid April we went to Pakistan. It was important to make it before the harvest of wheat, and we made it just in time!!
During this season, we were able to buy 800 sacks of quality grain!!!
Samson went to farms himself and was looking for the best quality.
At the first farm the grain was over dried and partly hollow inside. He decided not to get it. On Sunday morning he had a strong desire to visit another farm and talk to the owner. He couldn't understand why he needed to go on Sunday when everybody was off. He was not sure that the owner would be at the farm (moreover it was a holiday, too.) However, miraculously, the farmer was there! He shared that he had felt an urge to come to his farm on that particular Sunday.
The grain from his fields turned out to be very high quality, and Samson offered him a bulk purchase right there and then. The farmer even allowed to store the sacks at his farm until we transferred them to our storage in the city.
When God is in charge, there are blessings on each level!
We are very thankful for your financial assistance!
We had a roof above our heads, food on our table, and all the necessities. God provided although we had to stay in Pakistan longer (3 months instead of the planned 2.)
We are especially thankful for your prayers! We are happy and soon we will be ready for another breakthrough !
In the meanwhile we are making a difference at a distance. We are thinking about the teachers and how to offer them qualified help. Also, we plan how to raise their salaries and professionalism. We have obtained short lessons with recommendations from the best teacher. We just need to edit and upload those with the translation by Samson. Then, Pakistani teachers would be able to learn how to teach better and improve their skills of handling the students in class.
We continue to support our DAILY BREAD Project. We have three workers, two in the city and one in a village (he is a pastor and he oversees several villages in the area.)
We are dreaming about starting some business projects, so that the locals could start their own business and make money for their families instead of earning meager salaries like they do now.
We have a lot of other plans in our hearts and we will keep you updated with the details once they unfold. Stay tuned! A teaser: Christmas Giving Tree Project is coming!
Most importantly, we would like to express our utter gratitude for your generous support!
Housing for families in need.
In 2014 we received a phone call. On the other end of the line we heard a weeping voice of a distressed young lady crying for help. It was not a medical emergency or a need for food; what she and her family desperately needed was a place to live.
We looked into the details of her situation and decided to help. Their family gave as much money as they had, and we assisted them to make up the difference in cost.
In the end, this young family was able to build a small two room space with an open kitchen right on the roof of their brother’s house.
Later that year they adopted a child in addition to their beautiful biological son.
We are so glad we were able to partner with them in providing just what they needed - a safe place to live!
